Andrea Arnold is a former-actress and English filmmaker.The English filmmaker broke onto the scene in 2003 with her Oscar winning short film "Wasp". She is widely known as an auteur for her framing in movies which depicts loneliness. She likes the scenes to feel organic and makes sure she takes as many lenses to focus on the characters and follow them, most her scenes are with the camera handheld to add that "organic" scent. For example in Red Road the character is always separated from her surroundings, this is done to show that she can't quite fit in as she continues her lonely day.
