No Country For Old Men - Intro

There seems to be cutting between each of the characters to show what they're doing and how close they are to each other. One is running away from the other because they don't want to die, the other is chasing the murderer in chances of arresting him. 

I think that overall all 3 characters will meet at the same spot and only one of them will come out successful. Almost like a showdown and have like a shootout like in a typical western film.

There's links to the traditional western genre, one character is a sheriff, another character is a cowboy/gunfighter and the last one is the villain.

Another way this film links to the traditional western genre is through the use of film form, the landscape is often sunny and hot, and gives you type of dry hot desert vibes.
